Bonke Region - January 2017
Southern Ethiopia's Bonke Region is one of the deadliest places in the world for children. Less than half have access to clean drinking water. But it is there, just beneath the surface in the hills beyond the villages that desperately need it.
January 2017 was an adventure cycling expedition through the Bonke Region to raise funds for much needed water infrastructure projects in remote villages... Every dollar we raised together went to build water infrastructure that will carry the clean, life-giving water down from the hills and into the villages.
During the journey we rode to and camped in various villages. We heard firsthand from people about how these water projects will change life in these communities forever.
A Smashing Success!
Please check out the videos we put together. The journey was a great success. We made our way to Shara, Gesseso, Dorze Belle, and Tsate through some of Ethiopia's most relentless terrain.
We are very grateful for everyone that supported the January 2017 trek. We made a very real difference in many lives. Did you know we are producing a film?
